Sustainable Development Goals

Sustainable Development Goals, disingkat SDGs atau Global Goals, adalah 17 tujuan dengan 169 capaian yang terukur dan tenggat yang telah ditentukan oleh Perserikatan Bangsa-Bangsa (PBB) sebagai agenda dunia pembangunan untuk keselamatan manusia dan planet bumi. Tujuan ini dicanangkan bersama oleh negara-negara lintas pemerintahan pada resolusi PBB yang diterbitkan pada 21 Oktober 2015 sebagai ambisi pembangunan bersama hingga tahun 2030. Tujuan ini merupakan kelanjutan atau pengganti dari Tujuan Pembangunan Milenium yang ditandatangani oleh pemimpin-pemimpin dari 189 negara sebagai Deklarasi Milenium di markas besar PBB pada tahun 2000 dan tidak berlaku lagi sejak akhir 2015.

SDG 1 is a university effort to reduce poverty aimed at the general public and the academic community in the internal campus environment, such as students

SDG 2 is an effort to reduce hunger, achieve food security and better nutrition and support sustainable agriculture.

SDG 3 focuses on the availability of health facilities for the community. Within the university’s scope, activities that support SDG 3 points are community service, internal community services, and health facilities for students.

SDG 4 aims to ensure inclusive and equitable education and increase learning opportunities for all, including those who do not have the opportunity to study at university.

SDG 5 aims to eliminate discrimination, violence, human trafficking, sexual exploitation, harmful practices against women, especially girls.

SDG 6 focuses on the affordability and distribution of safe water for the community, adequate hygiene for the community, improving water quality by reducing water pollution, increasing water use efficiency, and ensuring a sustainable water supply to address the problem of water scarcity.

SDG 7 focuses on people’s access to affordable energy, improving energy efficiency, using sustainable and renewable energy. SDG 7 also aims to reduce energy use with energy efficiency technology to reduce the use of non-renewable energy.

SDG 8 focuses on promoting economic growth, productive employment opportunities, and decent work for people. SDG 8 aims to reach work opportunities for women and men and persons with disabilities at a decent wage.

SDG 9 focuses on building quality and durable infrastructure, promoting inclusive and sustainable industrialization, promoting innovation through industry relations, and researching the industry, innovation, and infrastructure.

SDG 10 is an effort by universities in overcoming inequality both economic inequality and health within and between countries, including in terms ofndisability, minorities, and discrimination.

SDG 11 focuses on inclusive, safe, durable, and sustainable urban and residential development, including public access to buildings, libraries, museums, and green spaces. SDG 11 also focuses on arts and cultural heritage.

SDG 12 focuses on the efficient use of university resources, minimizing waste, and increasing the production of recycled waste in the university environment.

SDG 13 focuses on the university’s total energy use and the university’s efforts to deal with uncertain climate change.

SDG 14 focuses on university activities related to educational programs that support the sustainability of marine ecosystems.

SDG 15 is the university’s effort to protect and increase the sustainable use of terrestrial ecosystems, such as reforesting forests, stopping desertification activities, protecting biodiversity.

SDG 16 is the university’s efforts to support peaceful and inclusive societies for sustainable development, provide access to justice for all and build effective, accountable, and inclusive institutions at all levels, both regional and national.

SDG 17 is an effort to strengthen implementation and cooperation with local, national, and international parties to achieve the SDGs’ goals.
