Although still in the pandemic condition the collaboration between Indonesian and foreign universities still run in order to strengthen friendship in various fields including cultural exchanges such as those conducted by Nahdlatul Ulama University Surabaya (UNUSA) with university from Malaysia.
Traditional angklung music accompanied by the song “rek ayo rek” and the traditional game “cublak-cublak suweng” became one of the performances in the Edu Art of Faculty of Teacher Training of Unusa and Erican College Malaysia on February 23, 2022. Those who appeared in the event were students of Early Childhood Teacher Education and, Primary School Teacher Education and English language education of Nahdlatul Ulama University Surabaya (UNUSA). The event aims to bring to life the traditions of the two countries in the form of traditional dance, music and games. Other stunning performances are the Indonesian Wonderland dance and the “slebor-slebor”. Game. Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education of UNUSA Nafiah explained that the event was the implementation of Brave Program of GENUS (Global Engagement of UNUSA which is an international institution under UNUSA. The University since 2018 has organized international events such as conferences and cultural exchanges. Due to the covid pandemic, the event was organized through zoom and YouTube. Malaysian students also features their traditional music and games
