Prof. Jazidie Officially Appointed as Rector of UNUSA for 2 Times

Surabaya – The Chairman of Surabaya Islamic Hospital Foundation (YARSIS), Prof. Dr. Mohammad Nuh, DEA appointed Prof. Dr. Ir. Achmad Jazidie, M.Eng. as Rector of Universitas Nahdlatul Ulama Surabaya (UNUSA) for 2020-2025 period at 3rd Floor Fastron Cafe, UNUSA Tower Campus B, Jemursari Surabaya on Thursday (03/9/2020). For your information, Prof. Dr. Ir. Achmad Jazidie, M.Eng was elected as Rector of UNUSA for two periods.

The new structure of the Rectorate in UNUSA were led by Prof. Dr. Ir. Achmad Jazidie, M.Eng as Rector of UNUSA, Prof. Kacung Marijan, Ph.D as the 1^st Vice Rector UNUSA (for Academic Affairs), Ir. Muhammad Faqih, MSA., Ph.D as 2^nd Vice Rector UNUSA (for General Administration, Resources and Finance), and the last, but not least, drg. Umi Hanik, M.Kes as 3^rd Vice Rector UNUSA (for Planning, Development and Cooperation).

The Chairman of Yarsis, Prof. Dr. Ir. K.H. Mohammad Nuh, DEA explained this inauguration would be one of the initial phases for the next five years in preparing for 100 years of  Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) organization. The development of UNUSA is getting better every day.

“I wish that in the next five years, during this new leadership position, UNUSA will be in the 50th rank of universities in Indonesia. This will be a big step for a living monument, “explained Prof. M. Nuh, on Thursday (3/9).

Prof. M. Nuh also wishes this inauguration will giving a good impact for UNUSA in the future. Moreover, it can be a role model for Nahdlatul Ulama Higher Education Institution (LPTNU). “So what UNUSA had found can be applied for the public community, such as artificial programs from the UNUSA information system as the example,” he uttered.

Meanwhile, Prof. Dr. Ir. Achmad Jazidie, M.Eng as Rector has prepared several programs to celebrate 100 years of NU to manifest Prof. M. Nuh’s expectation. The main idea that he and his teams were have been prepared the Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR) Laboratory. “the target is this year, 2020, but I wish it can be realized soon,” he explained.

For the another target that UNUSA will be ranked in 50 best universities of Indonesia, Prof. Jazidie emphasized three main ideas, such as governance, quality, and digital technology. In the future, VR and AR laboratory is needed, but it still currently under construction. (Unusa Public Relations and Marketing)
